You will notice on our website we have a variety of vacancies which can be either temporary, permanent, or temporary – permanent. If you are unsure about the differences and what would suit your own personal circumstances, take a look at the below.
A temporary vacancy can provide an immediate start, sometimes as quickly as the next day. You may choose this option if you are looking for a stop gap, you may not want the commitment of a permanent position, or you could be studying part-time and be able to work on an ad-hoc basis. Whatever the reason, there are many other benefits to working temporarily including weekly pay, gaining experience in different fields. You will also receive support from us as recruitment consultants if you then decide you want to find a permanent position further down the line or take a temporary to permanent opportunity.
Temporary to Permanent
This contract allows you to evaluate the position first before you make a permanent commitment. As you are given time to get to grips with the role and the company, it is mutually beneficial to both you and the client, as you are able to build a relationship first before taking on a permanent position if it is offered. Another benefit includes receiving your pay on a weekly basis until you are taken on as a permanent employee (assuming the client pays their permanent employees on a monthly basis).
We would never advise candidates who are currently in a permanent position however to apply for a temporary to permanent opportunity, as there is no guarantee that you will be taken on permanently at the end of the initial period.
We get to know our clients so we understand the skills and candidate type they are looking for. In turn, we work with you to find out exactly what you want, and pre-screen jobs to meet your own personal requirements. We have access to clients who use us as their first port of call when permanent vacancies arise. We will try and help you find your dream job, and if we can’t, we will offer you advice on how to get there. Contact us and tell us what kind of job you’re looking for and we will work together to try and find it. In the meantime if you’re currently unemployed, why not consider one of our temporary roles whilst looking for a permanent position?
